Marshall Football: Verbal Commitment Watch, Week 13

The Marshall Thundering Blog looks back on last weeks high school football action and reviews the performance of every Marshall verbal commitment.

1. Tyler Combs, OL, Lawrence County High School (KY)

Tyler Combs high school football career ended Friday night as Lawrence County lost it’s second round playoff game to Belfry 46-16.

2. Devon Johnson, LB/RB, Richlands High School (VA)

Bye week, will play Tunstall in a second round playoff match-up Friday night.

3. Trenton Norvell, QB, Seabreeze High School (FL)

Bye week, Seabreeze travels to Winter Haven High School on Friday night for a first round playoff game.

4. Ryan Riedel, LB, Cabell Midland High School (WV)

Ryan Riedel and the Cabell Midland Knight’s needed overtime to earn a first round playoff victory over Wheeling Park last Friday night. Cabell Midland’s defense stopped Wheeling Park on a crucial fourth and short play in overtime to secure the win.

5. Antonio Wells, DE, Magna Vista High School (VA)

Bye week, Magna Vista host Salem High School for a second round playoff game Friday evening.

6. Matt Cincotta, LS/LB, Charlotte Catholic High School (NC)

Playing linebacker Matt Cincotta recovered a fumble to help Charlotte Catholic defeat Marvin Ridge 49-28 last Friday. The win propels Charlotte Catholic into a second round playoff match-up against A.L. Brown High School this week.

7. Cameron Dees, OL, Armwood High School (FL)

Bye week, Armwood plays at home Friday night against Lakewood Ranch in a second round playoff game.

8. Zach Hall, OL, Port Charlotte High School (FL)

Port Charlotte closed it’s regular season with a 28-13 loss to North Port last week. Despite the loss Port Charlotte still qualified for the playoffs. They meet Fort Pierce Central in a first round playoff match-up Friday night.
