DeAndre Kane scored a career high 26 points as Marshall University's men's basketball team beat Northwestern State 83-61 Saturday night. Marshall dominated the game from start to finish, only trailing for 15 seconds in the first half.
The Herd's biggest advantage came on the boards as they out rebounded Northwestern St. 59-30. In fact, Marshall registered more offensive rebounds (24) than NSU did on defense (20). Marshall's rebounding edge was lead by center Yous Mbao who grabbed nine boards, he also blocked three shots.
Besides Kane, Damier Pitts (13) and Dennis Tinnon (10) reached double digit points. Dago Pena paced the Herd with five assists.
