Marshall HOF D’Antoni resigns as Knicks head coach

Marshall athletics Hall of Famer Mike D’Antoni has resigned as head coach of the New York Knicks. D’Antoni leaves the Knicks with an 18-24 record  after an offseason filled with high expectations. During a 4 ½ year run in New York D’Antoni made one playoff appearance (2011) while accumulating an overall record of 121-167.

Mike’s brother and Knicks assistant Dan D’Antoni, a fellow Marshall Hall of Famer, also resigned.
