Spring football practice number two is in the books and Marshall's beat writers have a number of reports on today's action.
In his blog Doug Smock reports that punter Austin Dumas has been impressive and is a strong candidate to replace departed four year starter Kase Whitehead.
Chuck McGill of the Charleston Daily Mail detailed an unusual sight, Tyson Gale actually broke up a fight. The former linebacker was a notorious instigator during his time in green and white. Gale is now serving as a graduate assistant on Doc Holliday's staff, helping coach wide receivers. McGill also has video of Holliday's post practice media gathering.
According to Andrew Ramspacher of the Herald Dispatch, back up quarterback Blake Frohnapfel attempted a few passes during Thursday's practice. Frohnapfel is recovering from shoulder surgery he underwent in December.
