Yesterday, Florida sophomore wide receiver Robert Clark announced he was leaving the Gators football program in search of more playing time. A Palm Beach Post report speculated that Clark could end up at Marshall:
As far as future destinations, it might be worth remembering that Clark was a longtime commit to West Virginia. Most of the staff that recruited him to the Mountaineers now is at Marshall.
As a true sophomore Clark could transfer to Marshall, use his redshirt year while sitting out, and have two seasons of eligibility left. As a freshman at Florida Clark caught seven passes for 69 yards and one touchdown. He has not registered a catch this year.
