Athletic directors from Conference USA and the Mountain West have continued discussions on a football only merger between the two leagues.
In a interview with the Hattiesburg American Giannini focused on the super leagues ability to garner a BCS bowl birth.
Talking with the Sun Herald, Giannini broke down possible scenarios on how a league encompassing twenty two schools would function.
On the Mountain West side, UNLV athletic director Jim Livengood says there is no timetable for the leagues to make any official announcement on a possible merger.
