C-USA Football: ESPNU goes all-access with Houston tonight

If you want a up close look at Houston’s football program before this Saturday’s game tune into ESPNU at 5pm EST this evening for ESPNU All-Access featuring the Cougars.

Press release from University of Houston athletics:

Houston, Texas - Houston Football (6-0, 2-0 C-USA) is one of the country's 13 remaining undefeated programs and is ranked inside the Top 25 for a third consecutive season. That sustained success under head coach Kevin Sumlin, coupled with the record-breaking feats of senior quarterback Case Keenum, prompted ESPNU to highlight the program earlier this week in its ESPNU All-Access show.

The telecast will air on ESPNU on Wednesday (Oct. 19) at 4 p.m. CT.

The taping occurred on Oct. 12 and producer Erik Rozentals and his staff began the view inside Cougar Football at 6 a.m. with Director of Sports Performance, Larry Jackson, leading morning strength and conditioning training. A facility tour from senior Justin Johnson and a "cribs-like" look inside the home of Chris Thompson and David Hunter followed, before a more detailed documentation inside the life of a student-athlete at the University of Houston.

The show will air Homecoming Week, just before the Cougars face the Marshall Thundering Heard at Robertson Stadium. The Oct. 22 kickoff is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start and the team will be wearing throwback jerseys commemorating the 1960s and 70s eras. Tickets for the game are still available by calling the Houston Athletics Ticket Office at 713-GO-COOGS.
