UAB basketball coach Mike Davis discussing the difference between Marshall and UAB after last weeks game:
"I think the difference in us and other teams ... I think that we've been in this situation a lot," UAB Coach Mike Davis said. "We played at Arkansas, won on a last second shot. Played with Virginia down the stretch of the game. Played Samford, three-point game, last shot we won. SMU, down 243 and come back and win in the very end. Southern Mississippi.
"We've been here before. You don't want to be in these situations, but at the same time we have and I think that was the difference in these two basketball teams."
Last nights loss was disheartening but will serve as a great learning experience for the Herd. Lets hope the team can grow from these disappointments and become a better basketball team in March and beyond.
