This was reported last week in the Herald Dispatch but I think it deserves a highlight here.
Former Marshall basketball player Tre Whitted has found a job with the NBA Developmental leagues Springfield Armor. Whitted has played in fifteen games staring four while averaging 5.7 points with just over one rebound and assist in twenty minutes per contest. Before starting this season with Springfield Whitted played for the Wilmington Sea Dawgs (CBL) in 2007 and the Rochester Razor Sharks (PBL) in 2008.

The Star News (Wilmington NC newspaper) wrote a story about Whitted’s professional basketball career. Whitted briefly touches on his senior season off the bench at Marshall after being a starter for three seasons. It also mentions that his uncle Kevin Whitted is an assistant coach for Springfield.
