It's official. Rick Minter is not going to be retained on new MU football coach Doc Holliday's staff.
"I was told Monday they're going in a different direction," said Minter, who had been defensive coordinator and interim coach for MU's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl win over Ohio.
"I was happy here for two years. It was fun being a part of Herd football. It was fun to see the kids play really, really well in the bowl game."
Minter got the future off to a good start in the bowl game. He should be remembered for that.
