This Weekends Recruiting Visits

JARRED HAGGINS, 6-0, 180, ATHLETE, LAKELAND H.S., FLA.

Look no farther than the list of offers for "Scooter" Haggins to learn that he ranks as an elite prospect. Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, Louisville, Tennessee and South Florida also have offered Haggins, who has verbally committed to FSU.

Haggins played quarterback at perennial power Lakeland and is rated No. 48 nationally as a safety prospect.

TEVIN DRAKE, 5-FOOT-11, 187 POUNDS, RB, NATURE COAST H.S., FLA.

Rushed for more than 1,500 yards in each of two seasons and totaled 51 rushing touchdowns overall during his career. He averaged at least 7.4 yards a carry in each season and is rated No. 108 overall nationally at his position.

JOSH LOVELL, 6-6, 270, OL, CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOL, VA.

Combining size and athleticism, Lovell played tight end and defensive end last season, but could segue to offensive line. He's rated as the nation's No. 28 tight end prospect by www.scout.com.

Lovell also has been offered by West Virginia and Maryland.

A.J. SCOTT, 6-5, 272, DE, ROBERT E. LEE H.S., VA.

Defensive line certainly is a priority in this year's recruiting class and the front was early addressed. Scott, an every-down end, was the Thundering Herd's first verbal commitment of the 2010 class.

TONY ZENON, 5-8, 158, RB, DEERFIELD-WINDSOR H.S., GA.

Although rushing for more than 5,000 yards during his high school career, Zenon largely has been overlooked on recruiting radars. Despite being transplanted from his Louisiana home following Hurricane Katrina, Zenon has carved a stellar career in Georgia.

GARRETT SCOTT, 6-4, 270, OL, COFFEE COUNTY H.S., GA.

Scott provides the needed bulk in Marshall's defensive interior. Along with Marshall, Troy, UAB, Arkansas State and Jackson State have offered.

JOE JOHNSON, 5-11, 173, S, NEW SMYRNA BEACH H.S., FLA.

Johnson totaled 85 tackles and six interceptions and broke up 16 passes as a high school senior. Marshall, South Florida, Western Michigan and Tennessee State have offered the playmaker.

DARRYL ROBERTS, 5-11, 154, CB, LAKELAND H.S., FLA.

Roberts joins high school teammate Haggins this weekend in Huntington. His senior season highlights included a 77-yard interception return to the end zone.
