Marshall Football: Herd Tops Houston 44-41

Taking a 31-10 into halftime, Marshall did not anticipate a close game in the fourth quarter but, that is exactly what they got. Houston fought its way back to a 41-41 tie with seven seconds left on the clock when Thundering Herd kicker Justin Haig walked onto the field for a 45 yard field goal. Facing a career long attempt, Haig converted, sealing Marshall's 44-41 victory.

With the win, Marshall (5-6, 4-3) can secure bowl eligibility by beating East Carolina next Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2pm ET, TV coverage will be provided by the CBS Sports Network.
