Per the Charleston Daily Mail's Chuck McGill, former Marshall assistant coaches Steve Dunlap and Rick Minter are not being considered for the Thundering Herds vacancy at defensive coordinator.
Minter held the defensive coordinator position at Marshall from 2008 through 2009, replacing Minter who left to take his current job at WVU following the 2007 season.
One interesting rumor hit the message boards today, linking former Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley to Marshall's opening. Bradley coached at Penn State for 30 years, spending the last 11 coordinating the defense. He served as interim head coach for three games in 2012 after Joe Paterno's dismissal.
