C-USA Football: Week 11 Review

El Paso Texas is a long way from Orlando Florida but, it was a successful trip for UCF as they took down UTEP 31-24 on Saturday. The Knight’s can lock up Conference USA’s East division by winning one of their two remaining games (at Tulsa & UAB) or with an ECU loss.

West division leader Tulsa is in a similarly strong position after beating Houston 41-7. If the Golden Hurricanes earn a victory over UCF or SMU, they will be playing for a chance to represent C-USA in the Liberty Bowl.

In other league action, Memphis recorded its second win of the season, taking down Tulane 37-23. Tigers quarterback Jacob Karam threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns while gaining another 51 yards on the ground.

SMU held Southern Miss to just 178 yards of offense during a 34-6 win and UAB was able to outlast Marshall’s second half comeback attempt, holding onto a 38-31 victory.
