In January Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post reported that former Marshall quarterback Eddie Sullivan was transferring to a junior college but, it appears his plans have changed. Yesterday, 2012 Thundering Herd opponent Western Carolina announced that Sullivan was part of their recruiting class.
Sullivan will be eligible to play right away at the FCS level but, that does not guarantee him a starting spot. Rising junior Brandon Pechloff returns to Western Carolina after appearing in eight games last season, passing for 1,660 yards with 12 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Two freshman quarterbacks dot the Catamounts 2011 roster and, their most recent recruiting class boats six players listed as QB/ATH.
Either way it looks like Sullivan will return to Joan C. Edwards Stadium in 2012, we just don’t know in what capacity.
