C-USA Basketball: SMU scores 28 points in loss to UAB

SMU might be leaving for the Big East but they now hold a dubious Conference USA basketball record. The Mustangs only converted 11 field goal attempts last night in a 47-28 loss to UAB. SMU’s 28 points represent the lowest ever scored by a C-USA team. To put that in perspective, the Mustangs football team scored at least 28 points seven times last season.

Here is the stat line for SMU’s performance last night, FG% .174, 3PT% .103, and they were out rebounded by UAB 46-27.

Marshall travels to SMU on Saturday for the Herds lone game this week, tipoff is scheduled for 3pm EST.
