Marshall Basketball: Late rally can't save Herd, fall at UCF 67-60

Down 14 with a little over three minutes left Marshall went on a 16 to 9 point run but fell short at UCF Wednesday night 67-60.

Returning to the team after his fathers death early Tuesday morning MU sophomore DeAndre Kane scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds. The Herd was lead by point guard Damier Pitts who scored 18 points, distributed seven assist, and pulled down four rebounds all whitout a turnover.

As a team Marshall failed to reach either parameter of the McGill Matrix, shooting below 42.5% while allowing UCF to win the rebounding battle 40-36.
