Raheem Waiters Returns to Athletics

Marshall football verbal commitment Raheem Waiters, a standout track and football star at Riverside High School returned to competition Tuesday. Limited to just throwing the discuss after tearing his ACL during football season Waiters longest toss was 144 feet, 6 inches. Waiters state championship throw in the discuss last year was 157 feet -7 inches.

Waiters verbally committed to Marshall, but was not a part of Doc Holliday's inaugural Herd recruiting class. He is greyshirting and will not enroll at Marshall until January 2011. His eligibility clock will not start until the Fall of 2011, when he could redshirt and sit out a second season or play immediately.
