Jason Leiser of the Palm Beach Post got a hold of Atlantic High School (FL) football coach Chris Bean and asked him about Jephete Matilus commitment to Marshall.
At this point in the process, when players still have more than nine months to change their minds, it is hard to say how much this matters. Bean said he is unsure how solid Matilus’ decision is.
“I don’t know, to be honest with you, but he did commit,” Bean said. “He gave them a verbal.”
If it holds up, this would be a continuation of a great run by Marshall in Palm Beach County. The Thundering Herd picked up six county players last season, including two of the area’s top 20 recruits.
