Jack Bogaczyk of the Charleston Daily Mail names head coach interviewees: http://www.dailymail.com/Sports/MUSports/201004020295
He wouldn't reveal names, but Hamrick said today he interviewed two coaches Thursday -- "one current head coach and one top assistant" -- and had four interviews set Friday and another early Saturday.
The Friday sessions were with two top assistant coaches, a current head coach and a former head coach, the Herd AD said. The Saturday confirmed interview is with a former head coach, Hamrick said, adding "we may possibly have two more (Saturday), too."
Hamrick would not confirm when asked about names, but a source revealed that the former head coach to be interviewed Friday is Bobby Lutz, who was recently fired at Charlotte.
It's also believed that one of Hamrick's sit-downs has been with Appalachian State's Buzz Peterson, the former North Carolina guard who also has coached at Tulsa, Tennessee and Coastal Carolina.
The source said one of the assistant coach interviews would be with Cleveland State's Jayson Gee, the former University of Charleston star and head coach.
The source said Hamrick was intent on interviewing good minority candidates as part of the process, citing that as important in making the search complete.
