Coming out of Baltimore’s Dunbar High School, McManus signed a letter of intent with West Virginia but failed to qualify academically. McManus spent this fall at the Atlanta Sports Academy, the same prep school that produced Marshall linebacker Kent Turene and cornerback Corey Tindal.
As a high school senior McManus caught 38 passes for 561 yards and six touchdowns. He also played safety on defense. Rivals.com ranked McManus the 25th best wide receiver in the class of 2012 and a four star prospect.
At this time, it is unclear if McManus will be eligible next season.
