Per Derek Redd of the Charleston Daily Mail, former Georgia State defensive coordinator Anthony Midget will join Marshall’s football staff in a yet to be announced position.
A five year assistant with the Panthers, Midget was elevated to defensive coordinator by head coach Bill Curry prior to last season. When Curry retired in November Midget was not retained by new head coach Trent Miles.
Midget’s role on Marshall’s staff is up in the air. The Herd has an opening at linebackers coach but, rumors have indicated former WVU assistant Steve Dunlap would fill that position. We should have more clarity on Midget’s role when his hiring is officially announced.
