Former Marshall tight end C.J. Crawford has transferred to the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Crawford graduated last week and decided to leave the Thundering Herd football program. In three seasons, he caught 34 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
Charlotte will compete as a FCS independent in their inaugural football season next year. The 49ers head coach is former Marshall assistant Brad Lambert.
As he is transferring down a level, Crawford will be eligible to play immediately. He has one year of eligibility left.
