C-USA Football: Week Two Roundup

It was not a stellar week for Conference USA football but the league did register a signature victory as Rice took down Big 12 member Kansas. The Owls entered the fourth quarter trialing 24-16 but used nine unanswered points including a last second field goal to win the game 25-24.

C-USA earned two other wins as Marshall defeated Western Carolina and Tulsa took down Tulane in the leagues lone inter-conference contest.

Last but certainly not least, the thoughts and prayers of the Marshall Thundering Blog go out to Tulane safety Devon Walker who suffered a spinal cord injury during the Green Wave's game at Tulsa. Walker spent three hours in surgery today to stabilize his spine, further updates will be available later this week.
