C-USA Football: Week Four Review

In a year where teams from the MAC and Sunbelt have earned big wins over BCS members Conference USA continues to struggle. In seven out of conference match-ups C-USA only managed a record of 1-6 during week four of the college football season. Tulsa earned the lone win, 27-26 at home against Fresno State.

That is not to say C-USA did not earn a few moral  victories. UTEP played a close game in Madison, dropping a 37-26 decision against Wisconsin. UAB did not embarrass themselves at Ohio State. The Blazers took a 6-0 first quarter lead before falling 29-15.

Although, there were a few stinkers. Duke racked up 500 yards of offense during a 38-14 win against Memphis. Facing their in-state rivals, ECU had no answer for North Carolina, losing 27-6. Western Kentucky continued its impressive season, downing Southern Miss at home 42-17.
