C-USA Football: Week Three Review

Conference USA's eastern division kicked off inter-league play last week as East Carolina traveled down to Southern Miss for an important early season match-up. Behind a stout defensive effort and three Golden Eagle turnovers, the Pirates walked out of Hattiesburg with a 24-14 victory. UCF picked up the eastern divisions only other win as they took down FIU 33-20.

Out West, Marshall's next opponent Rice had a difficult Saturday against future C-USA member Louisiana Tech, losing 56-37. Western division teams to register wins included Tulsa and UTEP.
