Marshall Football: Recruit takes long road to Huntington

By car, the trip from Suitland Maryland to Huntington West Virginia can take a bit more than seven hours. For one of Marshall’s 2011 football recruits that journey will take eleven months.

Levern Jacobs, a 5’11, 175 pound wide receiver from Suitland High School (MD) was set to become a member of Marshall’s 2011 recruiting class. A numbers crunch in the scholarship department derailed those plans and Jacobs found him self at Milford Academy (NY) for a prep school season. After five games Jacobs has caught ten passes for 179 yards and four touchdowns. His strong showing at prep school has lead Rivals.com to up Jacob’s rating from two to three stars.

Jacobs re-affirmed his commitment to Marshall earlier this month and will be eligible to join the Herd next semester. For more on Jacobs follow the links below:
