Former Marshall University quarterback Michael Payton is among 26 candidates who could be voted into the College Football Hall of Fame this May. If elected Payton would join fellow Marshall wide receiver Troy Brown and coach Jim Donna in the Hall’s Football Championship Subdivision wing.
During his time at Marshall Payton won a national championship in 1992 and received the Walter Payton Award (1-AA MVP).
