Marshall University head football coach Doc Holliday released the Thundering Herd's pre-season roster yesterday. The list of players includes a few notable additions and absences.
First, lets take a look at the big surprise:
It looks like Marshall has added former USC (yes that USC) commitment Steve Dillon to the roster. Dillon a 6’3, 245 pound defensive end from Pomdale High School (CA) signed a letter of intent with the Trojans in February but failed to qualify academically. According to reports Dillon never enrolled at USC and will be eligible if he clears NCAA and Marshall requirements. See Dillon’s rivals.com profile below.
