Marshall in the NFL: Preseason week 3

Chris Massey, LS, Free Agent

Cut by the St. Louis Rams on August 23rd.

Chris Crocker, S, Cincinnati Bengals

Started at safety and registered one sack, his only tackle of the night. Cincinnati beat the Carolina Panthers 24 – 13.

Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, New York Giants

In a all New York match up the Giants will appear on Monday Night Football for a second straight week against the Jets.

Doug Legursky, OL, Pittsburgh Steelers

Legursky took Maurkice Pouncey’s position at center after the former Pro Bowler was injured midway through the first quarter of Pittsburgh’s 34 – 16 win over Atlanta.

Byron Leftwich, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Broke his left arm scrambling for a first down in the Steelers 34 – 16 win over Atlanta. Before the injury Leftwich had completed one pass for 11 yards. Leftwich will most likely be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

C.J Spillman, S, San Francisco 49ers

Coming off the bench at strong safety Spillman recovered a fumble and made five tackles during San Francisco’s 30 – 7 loss to Houston.

Daniel Baldridge, OL, Jacksonville Jaguars

Cycled in as a backup right tackle during the Jaguars 35 – 32 over time loss to Buffalo.

Albert McClellan, LB, Baltimore Ravens

Saw limited time as a backup linebacker, registering one tackle and two assisted tackles. Baltimore beat the Washington Redskins 34 – 31.

Cody Slate, TE, Kansas City Chiefs

Lead Kansas City with 50 yards receiving on two receptions and a touchdown during the Chiefs 14 – 10 loss to St. Louis.

Lee Smith, TE, New England Patriots

Caught his first and only pass of the preseason for two yards. For the first time in three preseason games Smith had a reception while fellow rookie Will Yeatman did not. New England lost to Detroit 34 – 10.

Mario Harvey, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Did not play for a third straight preseason game while nursing a leg injury. Pittsburgh beat Atlanta 34 – 16.

Johnny Jones, DT, Free Agent

Released by the Miami Dolphins on August 25th.
