Can’t find a game story but Lawrence County defeated Jackson County 41 – 7, evening their season recorded at 1 – 1.
Devon Johnson, LB/RB, Richlands High School (VA)
Richlands opened their season Friday night with a 31 – 13 win over Gate City. At running back Johnson rushed for 42 yards on 7 attempts with a touchdown. He also caught a pass for 43 yards.

Trenton Norvel, QB, Seabreeze High School (FL)
In their final tune up before the regular season Seabreeze High School lost to St. Augustine 17 – 6 last Wednesday night. In the loss Trenton Norvell completed 8 passes on 13 attempts with one touchdown.

Ryan Riedel, LB, Cabell Midland High School (WV)
Despite a spectacular game from Riedel which included 15 tackles and a forced fumble Cable Midland lost their opener to Spring Valley 28 – 20.
