Two former Marshall athletes, football player Ahmed Shakoor and basketball player Eladio Espinosa have transfered to the University of Charleston.
Shakoor was kicked off the football team in Februrary for a unspecified violation of team rules. He surfaced at UC this August and has been practicing at safety.
Last week Head basketball coach Tom Herrion announced that Espinosa would not be returning to Marshall after suffering a throat injury that limited him to 10 games in 2010. Espinosa joins former Marshall walk-ons Noah Fischer and Xavier Humphrey with the Golden Eagles.
