Marshall Football: Tiquan Lang Switches Commitment from South Alabama to Herd

First reported by the Twitter account of Valdosta Daily Times reporter Ed Hooper, Tiquan Lang will not honor his verbal commitment to South Alabama and has signed a letter of intent with Marshall.

A all state selection in Georgia, Lang was a versatile weapon at Lowndes High School. During his senior season Lang averaged 19.4 yards per punt return and 36.6 yards per kickoff return while scoring three special teams touchdowns. At safety, the position he is expected to play in college, Lang intercepted a team high four passes. Not to be left out of the offense, he also scored six rushing touchdowns.

Besides South Alabama and Marshall, the five-foot-eight, 167 pound, athlete also had a scholarship offer from Middle Tennessee State.
