First reported by WarChant.com, Florida State verbal commitment Michael Johnson will sign a letter of intent with Marshall University later today.
Rivals.com ranks Johnson as the 27th best safety prospect in the class of 2013 and the 68th best player from Florida. Johnson verbally committed to FSU in February of 2012 but, it appears he changed his mind during a official visit to Marshall this past weekend. It has been rumored that the Booker T. Washington High School product could be facing academic issues but, his ability to qualify is still unknown.
Standing five-foot-nine, 153 pounds, Johnson also received scholarship offers from FIU, Houston, Kansas St., Mississippi, Utah, and WVU.
