Baseball America released its Conference USA preview yesterday, naming Marshall University’s Aaron Blair as the league’s pre-season pitcher of the year and top prospect for the 2013 MLB draft.
Last season Blair finished with a 2-8 record, accumulating a ERA of 3.98 while striking out 82 batters to only 28 walks. He followed up his impressive 2012 campaign with a strong performance in the Cap Cod Summer League, winning six games in eight starts with a 1.05 ERA.
