Marshall Football: Mike Furrey to Join Staff

FootballScoop.com is reporting that Kentucky Christian University head coach Mike Furrey will join Doc Holliday’s staff at Marshall. Furrey has lead the Knight’s, a NAIA program in Grayson KY., for two seasons, accumulating a record of 11-11.

Prior to being named head coach at KCU Furrey spent seven years in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions, and Cleveland Browns. The Ohio native played on both sides of the ball, finishing his career with 2,298 receiving yards and seven touchdowns at wide receiver while also recording 57 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back.

Various outlets are reporting that Furrey will coach the Thundering Herd's wide outs.
