Per the Twitter account of Herald Dispatch columnist Chuck Landon, Marshall University women’s basketball coach Royce Chadwick is leaving the Thundering Herd for Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Chadwick is coming off of a 16-14 season, 7-9 in league play, that ended with a first round loss to SMU in the Conference USA basketball tournament. As a head coach at the division one level Chadwick has complied 374 wins with Marshall, Sam Houston State, and Stephen F. Austin.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi competes in the Southland Conference where they finished at 9-20 last year. Chadwick replaces Robert Robinson who lead the Islanders for six seasons with an overall record of 73-113.
