Former Marshall defensive end Vinny Curry was selected in the second round, 59th overall, by the Philadelphia Eagles during day two of the NFL Draft Friday night.
Curry was Conference USA's defensive player of the year in 2011, recording 21.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and six forced fumbles.
Curry joins an Eagles organization that already has two productive pass rushers, Trent Cole and Jason Babin. Last year Babin finished third in the NFL with 18 sacks while Cole recorded 11.
