Marshall Baseball: Pitching prospect tears labrum

Last December Marshall baseball coach Jeff Wagoner signed a recruiting class of ten players including seven pitchers. It looks like the number of hurlers is now down to six. Taylor Knicely, a 6’3 right handed pitcher from Staunton Virginia, tore the labrum in his pitching shoulder Saturday afternoon. In one of Knicely's last starts prior to getting injured he tossed his third career high school no hitter.

According to this Stauton News Leader article, Knicley’s injury will require 18 months of rehabilitation but, coach Wagoner plans to keep the tall righty on scholarship and hopes to have him healthy by spring of 2013.
