Marshall Football: A.J Leggett commits to Herd

A.J Leggett, one on the nations top high school defensive backs has verbally committed to Marshall University. Rivals.com ranks Leggett as the 10th best cornerback prospects for 2012 and a four star recruit. Leggett chose Marshall over offers from major programs including Alabama, LSU, FSU, Florida, Miami and many more.

Leggett’s high school career has included four different football programs, starting at South Miami while making pit stops at Booker T. Washington, Gulliver Prep and Homestead, only to end up back at South Miami for his senior season. According to Rivals, Leggett boast a qualifying score of 22 on his ACT but, eligibility still might be a challenge considering the number of schools he attended. Leggett’s recruiting process has also been a whirlwind, last year he committed and de-committed from Florida State and Miami.
