In his Thursday Charleston Daily Mail column Jack Bogaczky interviewed Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl chairman Brett Dulaney who called Marshall a front runner for the games Conference USA slot. If chosen for the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl, Marshall will likely face a Big East or Sun Belt opponent.
Marshall fans pulling for a Herd vs. Big East matchup should root for South Florida and Connecticut. Both schools have five wins and need an additional victory to gain bowl eligibility. USF host West Virginia tonight at 8pm on ESPN while Connecticut travels to Cincinnati on Saturday. If either USF or UCONN win, the Big East should have enough bowl eligible teams to fill their Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl obligation.
