Marshall lost a big member of its 2013 recruiting class as multiple outlets are reporting that linebacker Jeremiah Benjamin has failed to qualify academically and will not enroll in school.
ESPN ranked Benjamin as the 20th best linebacker prospect in the class of 2013. He chose the Thundering Herd over numerous other scholarship offers including West Virginia, Purdue, Texas A&M, and Kentucky. Current WVU and former Marshall running backs coach Jajuan Seider was Benjamin's lead recruiter.
