Marshall's football team was back at practice Tuesday afternoon, coming together for a single session at 2:30pm.
Players sitting out today included tight end C.J Crawford, defensive tackle Jarquez Samuel, and defensive end Matt Pickett.
Among the highlights of Tuesday's single session was the offensive line according to Derek Redd of the MU Sports Blog. The unit has improved all camp long and continued a string of successful performances today. Along with playing well the line has stayed consistent. Besides the battle at left tackle between Gage Niemeyer and Jordan Jeffreies every other position has remained the same with left guard Josh Lovell, center Chris Jasperse, right guard John Bruhin, and right tackle Garrett Scott.
Doug Smock of the Charleston Gazette took time to break down Marshall's deep stable of running backs including incumbent starters Tron Martinez and Travon Van with newcomers Kevin Grooms, Stewart Butler, and redshirt freshman Remi Watson. Smock also wrote a separate feature on quarterback Blake Frohnapfel, who is almost fully recovered from December shoulder surgery.
Marshall will split back into two sessions tomorrow with the early practice at 9:45am and the afternoon session at 4pm.
