Marshall University news rarely originates outside of West Virginia but that is exactly what happen yesterday when the University of Nevada announced its 2012-2013 men’s basketball schedule. Per Nevada’s official press release the 2012 regular season Western Athletic Conference champions will be playing at Marshall on November 24th.
The Wolf Pack are entering their first year as a member of the Mountain West Conference and have a considerable amount of talent returning from last year’s team. Chief among them is 2012 WAC player of the year Deonte Burton. The 6’1 guard lead with Wolf Pack with 14.8 points and 4.2 assist per game last year.
Marshall has yet to announce its full basketball schedule but don’t be surprised if next year’s slate includes a return trip to Nevada.
