Marshall Football: Herd Shutouts Gardner-Webb 55-0

Holding an opponent scoreless for the first time since 2003, Marshall (2-0) defeated Gardner-Webb (1-1) 55-0 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium Saturday Night.

Marshall's defense caused six Gardner Webb turnovers and the Runnin' Bulldogs only managed 184 yards of total offense. 

Running back Stewart Butler powered Marshall's offense with 151 rushing yards on nine carries and three touchdowns. 

Marshall returns to action next Saturday at Ohio, kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
