Two items I want to bring to your attention before they slip through the cracks.....
1) On Tuesday, Charleston Daily Mail sports editor Chuck McGill indicated that Marshall and ECU have agreed to a yet to be announced football series. As members of Conference USA, the Pirates and Thundering Herd have played each other every year since 2005. ECU is leaving for the American Athletic Conference after this season, opening up the possibility of playing Marshall as an out of conference opponent.
2) Marshall's football program suffered another departure this week when tight end Stefone Grace left the team. The redshirt sophomore was buried on the depth chart behind fellow tight ends Gator Hoskins, Eric Frohnapfel, Devon Johnson, and Joe Woodrum. Grace did not appear in any games during his three years with the Thundering Herd.
