A new feature on the Thundering Blog, we are reviewing the weekly performances of Marshall's verbal commitments and anointing one football recruit our "Commitment of the Week".
Quarterback Cole Garvin and his Sandy Creek High School teammates defeated the Newman Cougars 55-28 Friday night. One of Marshall's earliest verbal commitments in this years recruiting class, Garvin completed 17 of 20 first half pass attempts for 223 yards and two touchdowns.
For leading Georgia's top ranked Class AAAAA high school to a 27 point win, Garvin is our Commitment of the Week.
