Marshall Football: Week Six Review

Conference USA played a mix of league and non-league match-ups last week, kicking off with ECU's trip to UCF Thursday night. With a 40-20 win over the Pirates, Central Florida was able to take first place in C-USA's East division.

Keeping our eyes on the East, Marshall took a 45-38 loss to Tulsa at home and Memphis earned its first win of the season, 14-10 over Rice. In out of conference play, Southern Miss had a tough time against Boise State, getting blown out 40-14. UAB earned a win, defeating FCS member South East Louisiana 52-3.

Looking out West, SMU beat UTEP in a battle of Texas schools 17-0. Outgoing C-USA member Houston handled future league member North Texas 44-21 and Tulane remained winless, dropping a 41-13 decision to Louisiana Lafayette.
