Marshall’s 2013 recruiting class took a hit Friday night when quarterback Kevin Anderson broke his collarbone. The injury will force Anderson to miss the rest of his senior season.
The Florida signal caller verbally committed to Marshall in July after spending four days on campus.
Anderson lead Boca Raton High School with 509 passing yards and five touchdowns while completing 40 of 81 attempts before getting hurt.
According to Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post, Marshall assistant coach JaJuan Seider reassured Anderson that the coaching staff still wants him to sign a letter of intent. Despite the injury Anderson plans to graduate from high school early and enroll at Marshall in January.
