Former Marshall University goalkeeper Daniel Withrow has signed a contract with the Columbus Crew. Columbus selected Withrow 28th overall in the second round of the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft on January 22nd.
The Michigan native has been training with the Crew for over a month, beating out Samir Badr for the third spot on Columbus’s goalie depth chart.
Withrow joins Columbus after an illustrious career with the Thundering Herd. He was named Conference USA’s co-defensive player of the year in 2012 and defender of the year in 2010.
